About the role

At Cropster, we are building market-leading Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions to empower businesses throughout the coffee supply chain. Thousands of customers all over the world from farm to cup use our software products to make better coffee.

In the Product Design Team, we take raw ideas and make them into something everyone can relate to and rally behind. We start from the very early stages: finding the right problem to tackle, exploring ideas for how to solve it and then refining it into a coherent solution. We are empathetic user advocates and care deeply about our users’ experience and our customers' needs. That is why we are looking for an experienced user researcher to join our team and help us develop our products based on user’s feedback and research findings.

The preferred locations for this role are I nnsbruck or Vienna.

What you'll do
- Plan and conduct user research to inform product design and development decisions
- Gather information and feedback from users to identify user needs and goals
- Analyze and synthesize user data to surface insights and trends
- Create deliverables, reports, presentations, and/or videos to document and bring to life insights in an engaging and inspiring way
- Develop user personas, scenarios and journey maps
- Collaborate with product design and engineering teams to ensure user needs are considered in product decisions

What you'll work on
- Design and execute research studies, such as usability tests, interviews, remote and in-person for existing and future products/features
- Analyze, synthesize and communicate research insights and findings to product teams and other stakeholders
- Help establish a research driven product development process
- Advocate for the user’s perspective on every step of the product
- Mentor and support other team members with doing research

We are looking for someone with
- Experience in UX Research: Planning, conducting and synthesizing own UX research
- The ability to work independently in a cross-functional environment
- Great communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- A broad knowledge of user research methods and analysis techniques
- Experience in working with data and analytical tools
- The ability to stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in user research

That said, we’d be particularly delighted to hire someone with
- Additional language skills like German or Spanish is a plus
- Experience or big passion for the coffee industry
