**Segment Marketing Manager - Pharma**

RSD, Field/Remote, Any EU location

The Segment Marketing Manager is responsible for determining the marketing strategy of Fisher Scientific Channel, for the assigned Customer Segments in Europe and actively engages with our teams across Thermo Fisher and suppliers in order to develop and deploy the strategy, grow new market opportunities and drive the base business.

**Specific Responsibilities include**:

- Leads the development of the European Annual Marketing Segment Strategy in collaboration with the Segment Sales Director, Inside Sales Director, Business Development and Portfolio Management; partners with Marketing leadership to develop a resource plan in AOP to support the strategies.
- Develop marketing campaigns and commercial programs to deliver profitable revenue growth for the Fisher Scientific channel proactively. As needed, respond to market dynamics, competitive developments and customer needs/expectations to deliver on the Fisher Scientific channel value proposition.
- Responsible for conducting market segment and customer analysis, market research, developing, coordinating and executing marketing campaigns and programs through all relevant channels (e.g.: sales, digital marketing, social, SEM, events, etc) in order to allow us to deliver meaningful results.
- Aligns customer requirements with the capabilities of Thermo Fisher Scientific in order to deliver a differentiated segment value proposition represented by a portfolio of products and services.
- Closely partners with Sales in order to understand customer needs and provide the necessary support to drive contract implementation
- Engages with other functions as required (e.g.: supply chain, customer services, finance) in order to ensure a successful execution of all initiatives and campaigns
- Understands and monitors trends (e.g. procurement, budgets, competitor activity, evolution in technologies,.) in the assigned customer segments
- Builds connections across Thermo Fisher to identify new opportunities for profitable growth and best practices

How will you get here?
- At least 5 years marketing / sales specialist experience, experience in, or working with the assigned Customer Segments desirable.
- Science Degree or higher is a must
- Ability to use Microsoft Office, experience with MS Access is advantageous
- Ability to translate customer / segment requirements into practical tools
- A demonstrated focus on the customer required; a commercial focus is preferred.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and demonstrate flexibility with priorities
- Willingness and ability to travel within your specified geographic region, estimated 10% travel
- Full driving license

**Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria**:

- A Life Science based degree or higher
- Fluent in English, ability to speak additional European languages a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work across several functions and teams in the business. Able to motivate and mobilize individuals and teams behind strategic plans and marketing campaigns.
- Demonstrated ability to execute in a results-driven organization through a high level of personal motivation and enthusiasm. High-energy and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
