SENIOR STRATEGIC BUYER (M/F/D)
***
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Continuous monitoring of the relevant procurement market to identify potential suppliers and upcoming trends
- Develop the supplier base for the assigned commodity (metals, electronics or plastics) in close cooperation with the stakeholders
- Maintain the supplier qualification process (collecting supplier information, attend on supplier audits, preselection and onboarding)
- Negotiate and conclude basic terms & conditions
- Perform benchmarking and concept competitions with strategic suppliers
- Provide cost calculations and concept evaluations starting already at an early project phase including value engineering/advanced purchasing projects
- Support the team of project purchasing during final negotiations with specific process cost/cost-break-down expertise
- Close cooperation with the project purchasing team to monitor the supplier performance in the running projects and support needed actions if necessary (supplier-relationship-management)
- Support to shape and optimize the procurement processes
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Completed technical or commercial education
- Several years of experience in strategic/project purchasing or related area
- Logical mindset combined with a structured manner of thinking
- Solid expertise in commercial and contract law
- Strong negotiations skills
- Proactive and flexible personality
- Advanced knowledge of the related production processes and costs
- Very good communication skills in English combined with sufficient German knowledge
