**What can you expect from this position?**
- ensure database availability in the 24/7 environment of our SaaS solution to enable our customers to tackle their transport logistics smoothly
- ensure the operation of our Oracle Exadata running in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
- operate the PostgreSQL environments on Microsoft Azure
- identify possible issues and proactively provide solutions before the business is affected
- create awareness for necessary technological changes and implement them
- be responsible for database design and architecture on a technical level
- perform database performance tuning and help colleagues to optimize the performance of tricky SQL statements
**We have a match if you have/are**
- a completed computer science degree, A-level graduation or several years of relevant professional experience
- some years experience as an Oracle Database Administrator
- experience in PostgreSQL is nice to have
- interest in cloud technologies
- Strong urge to cooperate with Development teams to improve the user experience
- flexibility to perform weekend maintenance and on-call service
- Strong analytical skills
- Willingness to learn and improve skills to adapt to new technologies and trends
- Very good command of both spoken and written English
