In order to strengthen our **Medical Affairs Team in Austria**, we are currently recruiting for a

**Medical Advisor (M/F/x)**:
to be located in **Vienna**.

The Medical Advisor, in concert with the Head of Medical Affairs, engages and builds strong links with key external medical experts in Austria. The position holder is responsible for the implementation and management of medical affairs projects including medical investigations and assessment of trials. The incumbent is expected to work closely with other departments and external stakeholders in the field.

The Medical Advisor manages and support local studies, contributes to generate product-related scientific data through developing and maintaining an in-depth understanding of the therapy area. The Medical Advisor provides support to external experts and collaboration with internal stakeholders to maintain a high level of scientific partnership.

**Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- You will provide medical expertise for Therapeutic Area(s): Immunology, Hereditary Angioedema and Respiratory
- You will develop, implement, measure medical affairs projects/trials for existing and new products in Austria
- You will monitor and evaluate changes in the medical and scientific environment (clinical studies, therapeutic trends, etc), respond appropriately and derive actions and business proposals.
- You will establish annual medical affairs budgets for responsible brands and monitors periodic financial medical affairs forecasts as required
- You will develop, implement and supervise company-sponsored non-interventional studies in alignment with legal and compliance requirements and internal SOPs/Policies; manages publication of study results.
- You will manage investigator-initiated studies in alignment with legal and compliance requirements (AMG, GCP) and internal SOPs/policies (especially the ClinCom process), supervise and analyze results medically (together with investigator).
- You will manage publication of results in full accordance with Good Publication Practice.
- You will cooperate with relevant internal partners (sales, marketing, PR, Health policy, R&D, Production, Regulatory Affairs, Legal Department, Quality, GCSP, etc) in order to get the necessary support for the success of the medical affairs activities.
- You will develop and maintain contacts with opinion leaders, customers, research institutions etc.
- You will answer medical questions concerning products
- You wil train sales force and marketing colleagues regarding medical aspects

**Qualifications Profile**:

- You are holding a Medicine Degree (MD)
- You have at least 4 years of appropriate experience with demonstrated relevant competencies required to qualify for this role.
- A minimum of 4 years in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry required.
- Prior experience in providing Medical support to products or devices in specific therapeutic areas, including KOL development, investigator-initiated clinical trials, publications and educational programs highly preferred.
- Experience in working in international or global teams
- Cross-functional leadership Skills
- Strong scientific background
- Fluency in German and in English is required
- Willingness to travel on business
- ICH/GCP knowledge favorable, ability to write scientific papers
- Good planning and organisational skills
- High learning agility, flexibility and ability to manage ambiguity
- Work as part of a team to reach common goals
- Strategic agility as well as strong execution skills
- Strong negotiation, influencing and leadership skills
- Availability to travel across Austria (20%) and abroad if required, ability to work utilizing multi channels for remote interactions

The salary depends on education, training and expert knowledge as well as previous experience but will at least amount to EUR 60.000 gross p.a. on a fulltime base. Overpayment depends on experience. Company car will be provided.
