We are currently looking for a **Buyer** for our location in **Vienna**, **Austria**

As a **Buyer** you are responsible for processing the product groups assigned to you within the region/division. You will work for all projects in the organization and form the interface between the business, the global lead buyers and the Domain. You will procure using professional purchasing practices and techniques and ensure parts, services and goods availability through the production process while maintaining overall cost at the lowest level and highest quality. You will maintain daily contact with suppliers and ensure supplier quality and on-time-delivery.

**Responsibilities**:

- Define material prices for Commodity Groups
- Contribute to the identification of material requirements, estimate the justified costs, provide the material procurement costs, prepare requests for offers to suppliers, compile contract packages, assess opportunities and risks in procurement and define the final parts lists for their responsible product groups, Verification of implementations and documentation
- Documentation according to standards and project requirements
- Support verification, assessment and homologation
- Provide input to Regional Commodity Management regarding their Business Unit specific procurement needs, the evaluation of supplier performance, the description of the supply base and the collection of past and future spend data
- Manage contracts for risk management, claims, conflict resolutions, feedback and input into bids from lessons learnt.
- Develop long term supplier relationships through regular performance reviews and continually drive cost improvements.
- Be responsible for delivering cost reduction targets and participate in Design2cost initiatives.

**OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Commercial (or equivalent) with commodity related background.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement with technical and operational expertise
- Solid technical knowledge of the different systems and materials used in our business
- Knowledge of Contract law with experience in negotiating terms and conditions
- Knowledge of commodities, global partnership agreements
- Strong understanding of concepts and procedures in own discipline and sound knowledge in adjoining disciplines
- English and German language skills are mandatory for this role
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to a dynamic business environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Big data processing and structured change tracking of revisions

The minimum salary for this position is 3.091,55 € gross / month (14 x) for full-time employment according to the collective bargaining agreement. Overpayment depends on relevant work experience and qualifications.
