Vendor Compliance - Trainee (Reports to the Accounts Payable Manager)

This position maintains and manages Global Blue’s supplier/vendor master data process, ensuring all vendors engaged by Global Blue adheres to Global Blue’s Master Data policy that was implemented to ensure SOX compliance. Supplier/vendor master data can only be created or updated in Global Blue’s financial systems when adherence to the process and policy is confirmed by the Vendor Compliance Specialist. Suppliers/vendors can only be paid if the vendor master data has been created/updated in Global Blue’s financial system. As such, this position is crucial to ensure Global Blue maintains good working relationship with vendors engaged by Global Blue.

Core Responsibilities- Reviews all requests to create or update supplier/vendor master data and confirms the request adheres to Global Blue’s Vendor Master Data process and policy.- Requests the creation or update of the vendor/supplier master data and ensure the completion of the creation/update. The request is created in the platform provided by Global Blue’s IT Department (MyVendor).- Works and communicates with the requestors (called Orderers) and in some cases, contacts the vendor directly, to identify any risks/issues concerning the requests for the supplier/vendor master data.- Works with the Accounts Payable Team to ensure/confirm the creation or update of the supplier/vendor master data.- Ensures requestors (called Orderers) are informed of the status of any incomplete requests, gathers information and works on resolving any incidents/issues preventing the creation/update of the supplier/vendor master data in Global Blue’s financial systems.- Participates in the development and implementation of a SOX compliant and robust supplier/vendor master data process to support the Accounts Payable department.

Qualifications/Competencies- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Finance or Business- 1 year experience in Accounts Payable or similar departments in Finance; knowledge or experience in SOX an advantage- Strong computer skills using Excel spreadsheet and Word as well as Microsoft Teams- Strong verbal and written communication skills.- Strong attention to detail.- Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.- Ability to be respectful, approachable, and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
