Senior Capex Project Manager

**About the role**:
In this role, you will lead and manage large and/or complex CAPEX projects/programs.
Within a team of 10 colleagues, you will contribute to the mid
- and long-term investment strategy of the Vienna Manufacturing site.
With your profound Project Management skills, you will act as a generalist (beside expert knowledge) and participate in creating the request for budget and justifying the project to the board or equivalent committee.
You ensure budget and milestones are met as approved in the project scope. Additionally, all project targets need to follow the EHS & Quality Compliance guidance.
As Sr. Project Manager you will serve as a liaison between the project team, unit portfolio heads, shutdown coordinators and other PMs.
**How you will contribute**:
- Definition of the scope, feasibility and execution of programs
- Leading/management of complex projects through design and implementation phase according to Global Engineering - Project Management - guidelines
- Planning, initiating and managing programs / projects considering the corporate and digitization strategy
- Initiating and prioritizing projects for those programs in cooperation with the responsible business units, taking into account the relevant framework conditions and preparing for the decision taking and approval process
- Regular updating of projects and programs to detect changes and their effects immediately, so that the appropriate measures can be initiated and involved persons are informed accordingly
- Defining standards and guidelines; evaluating and implementing appropriate methods and tools; enforcing program/project-wide compliance with those standards, guidelines and the appropriate use of the methods and tools
- Active management of steering committees and stakeholders (external and internal)
- Risk & Opportunity Management, Cost/Spend, Schedule Controlling and Reporting for the entire project scope
- Preparation of cross-project planning, ensuring cross-project marketing as well as quality and knowledge management
- Ensure compatibility and consistency with existing organization and industry standards (PMM, cGMP, GEP, etc.)
- Transfer best practices across functions and business units as well as other sites
**What you bring to Takeda**:
- Completed technical college or university studies in a technical field or economics
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience in Project Management of medium to large capital projects from design through construction and commissioning phase
- Excellent organizational skills, inspiring and mentoring others
- Experience in and confidence with presentation techniques
- Focus on implementation and results, decision quality
- Critical questioning and challenging of project content
- Independent and structured way of working
- Ideally project management certification (PMP or IPMA)
- Excellent English language skills, German is a plus
