**University Assistant (Post-Doc)**:
40 hours/week | limited to 6 years

The Research Unit of Applied Statistics of the **Institute of Statistics and Mathematical Methods in Economics** at TU Wien is offering a position as university assistant (post-doc) limited to expected 6 years for 40 hours/week. Expected start: October 2024.

**Tasks**:

- Development and implementation of novel statistical methodology and software
- Contribution to joint group research
- Publication of results at leading journals, workshops and conferences
- Independent teaching or participation in teaching and supervision of students
- Participation in organizational and administrative tasks of the research division and the faculty

**Your profile**:

- Strong potential for independent and collaborative scholarship leading to scholarly publications
- Experience in national and international research projects and presentations
- Experience in teaching and publication activities as well as interest in research/supervision with/of students
- Organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent command of the English language and communication skills/ aptitude for teamwork

Entry level salary is determined by the pay grade B1 of the Austrian collective agreement for university staff. This is a minimum of currently EUR 4,752.30/month gross, 14 times/year for 40 hours/week. Relevant working experiences may increase the monthly income.
