**Your personal sphere of play**:
As a University Assistant you will complement the research team of the Chair of Societies and Cultures of Memory of Eastern Europe. Our research focuses on East-Central European and Eastern European history with a particular emphasis on Ukraine - Russia - Poland. The professorship team currently consists of 1 PostDoc researchers and some Project Fellows other project staff as well as administrative colleagues.

**Your future tasks**:
Active participation in research, teaching & administration, which means:

- You will be involved in research projects and scientific studies.
- You prepare and complete a publication-ready habilitation.
- You will independently teach courses in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement, conduct examinations and supervise students.
- You will take on administrative tasks in research and teaching.
- Participation in the organisation of meetings, conferences and symposia.

**This is part of your personality**:

- Completed doctoral/PhD studies in History with a specialisation in Eastern European History
- Good oral and written communication skills are desirable
- Very good written and spoken English skills
- Active and passive language skills in at least one of these languages Ukrainian, Russian, Polish
- IT user skills
- You are a team player with high social/communicative skills
- Teaching experience/experience with e-learning is desirable - Knowledge of university processes and structures - Experience abroad
