Compute Category Manager Austria (f/m/d)

This role has been designated as ‘Edge’, which means you will primarily work outside of an HPE office.

As **Compute** **Category Manager** **for Austria **you will be responsible for the

management and development of **HPE’s Compute Product Portfolio. **Products include HPE ProLiant Rack
- and Tower-Servers as well as HPE Synergy Blade-Servers as well as managing software.

Your main areas of responsibility in **Compute Category Business Development **will be the following:

- Use techniques in business development include evaluating marketing opportunities and sales markets, business analysis of customers and competitors, initiating future business and repeat business, and writing business plans and designing specific business models.
- Develop local and execute global initiatives and actions to achieve business objectives and growth
- Collaborate closely with other category managers in Germany, Switzerland and Central Europe to align on strategies, joint programs and best practices
- Work with existing and identify new solution and software vendors to promote joint use cases and go-to-market initiatives that help increase HPE product sales in your category
- Work closely with core category, marketing & route-to-market teams to ensure representation of your products in key HPE marketing and sales campaigns
- Ensure enablement of sales and channel partners for the respective product categories in Austria
- Work closely with channel partners and distribution partners to grow the joint business in Austria
- Monitor ongoing product performance and derive actions to achieve business goals
- Support the forecasting process (revenue, units, margin, mix) with local market and portfolio knowledge updates and enhancements, up to proper end of life (EOL) phase out and transition of products
- Coordinate with the local product management on all aspects and ensure local requirements are met
- Support major end customer and partner events

- University or Bachelor's degree; Advanced University or MBA preferred.
- Some years of experience in the IT industry
- Experience in business development, sales, program or product management is helpful
- Understanding of Hybrid Cloud concepts is highly appreciated, but not a must
- Most important is an overall business interest and willingness to learn
- Excellent team player
- Good presentation and communication skills
- Can work in a matrix structure and a virtual team
- Fluent in German and English language (verbal & written)

We are legally obliged to quote the KV minimum salary (related to KV Handel für Angestellte) for the position (€ 36.428 gross annual fix salary with 38,5 h/w).

For this role an annual salary starting at € 55.000 gross OTE (All-In with a 80/20 split) gross is planned - with the willingness to pay significantly more depending on individual experience and qualification.
