The Department of Communication is a subunit of the Faculty of Social Sciences. Communication studies is a social science with a diversity of research methods. Its core is the indirect public communication, transmitted by mass media.

**Duration of employment**: 4 year/s

**Extent of Employment**: 20 hours/week, which include a teaching assignment of 7 hours scientific classes on average per semester

Job grading in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: -48 VwGr. B1 lit. b (postdoc) with relevant work experience determining the assignment to a particular salary grade.

As a Senior Lecturer you will be mainly involved in teaching in the academic discipline of bachelor’s and master’s degree in communication studies with a focus on advertising research, which is a large and diverse area.

In case of a positive evaluation at the end of the term of employment, the employment contract may be extended for an indefinite period of time.

**Profile**:
We are looking for people who see university teaching as an interesting and challenging field of activity.

a. Doctoral degree/PhD in the field of communication science or related fields

b. Several years of independent, relevant professional and well-rated teaching experience at a post-secondary educational institution

c. Excellent command of written and spoken English
