The Digital Products Team is responsible for building an industry-leading experience across multiple channels and environments, working closely with the wider Digital Department and cross-directorate stakeholders to ensure every feature we build is effectively personalised and targeted for our customers and colleagues.

Everything we build reflects both the needs of the end user and supports the LNER business plan objectives. Our mission is to enhance our customers' end-to-end digital journey by creating innovative products and features which make us the digital rail destination of choice.

To help us on our mission, we've got a 24-month opportunity to join us as a Digital Product Owner to deliver key projects on our exciting digital roadmap. The role reports into our Mobile Product Manager, and is likely to support mobile-focussed projects, but may also be deployed on any other digital internal or external-facing project depending on roadmaps and resource needs.

LNER's digital estate is constantly evolving and expanding, and this role will work closely with the web and app Product Managers as well as teams across the business, delivering high-quality products that will enhance our digital ecosystem and provide our customers with a simple, frictionless, and rewarding experience at each stage of their journey.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Working with business owners on a range of projects to understand the product visions and goals
- Owning the feature backlog during project delivery, ensuring specification and prioritisation of features is steered by customer need while balancing commercial aims.
- Reporting agreed Key Results to the Product Manager, Customer Product Lead and key Stakeholders to assess the performance of new features
- Advocating both the business owner and the end user throughout delivery and provide clarity on requirements to the delivery team.
- Manage suppliers, developing strong working relationships and working to plans and to budget
- Working with our project managers to ensure that projects are delivered
- Working closely with the accessibility and inclusion manager and external parties to ensure products are fully accessible for all customers and compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA standards
- Always working collaboratively with product managers to ensure that digital properties remain connected, aligned, and consistent with other digital customer touchpoints
- Maximising the value of every product through intelligent prioritisation, and strive to deliver value early and continuously

**To successfully develop and launch digital products that will transform the industry starting at LNER there are a few “must haves”. Such as**
- Demonstrable and extensive experience in the design and build of mobile-first digital products, using Agile methodology, with a focus on digital retail
- Being naturally collaborative, eager to learn & understand before acting.
- Pragmatism, confidence, and a drive to deliver, preferring minor failure over major delay.
- Excellent communicator, able to build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and communicate / influence at all levels to gain project buy-in and engagement
- Experience of managing multiple digital projects with significant budgets and delivering on time and on budget to the required scope
- Strong business acumen with sound numeracy and analytical skills
- In-depth knowledge of web and app analytics (GA, Tableau, ideally Firebase)
- Ability to guide remote development teams (agency based)
- Good knowledge of JIRA or other digital collaboration tools

**Nice to haves**:

- Certified Scrum Product Owner qualification (desirable)
- Awareness of all key digital marketing channels (SEO, PPC, Social, Display)
