Against this backdrop, Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) is expected to have one of leading roles in Erste Group’s risk management of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) risks and in that light we have been committed to make further significant strides towards embedment of ESG into its ICAAP architecture and risk management framework.

The ICAAP team within the Enterprise-wide Risk Management (ERM) division, ensures group-wide risk portfolio steering based on a holistic, cross-risk oversight of risks. The ICAAP team supports the Erste Group’s management with a robust enterprise-wide risk management framework to ensure that the bank group has the capacity to bear its acquired risks. The main focus areas of the unit are the Risk Materiality Assessment (RMA), Risk Bearing Capacity Calculation (RCC), Risk Appetite Statement (RAS), limit steering and defining the risk strategy. It is responsible for the Group, EBOe, Holding single entity and acts as competence center towards Austrian savings banks (Sparkassen).

**Your Tasks**:

- Playing a key role in all ICAAP initiatives covering environmental, social and governance risk / risk drivers
- Developing appropriate key risk indicators and setting appropriate limits for effectively managing ESG related risks in line with Erste Group’s regular monitoring and escalation arrangements
- Setting-up and maintaining a limit framework for ESG related limits on Erste Group, Holding, EBOe level and the level of savings banks and ensuring alignment with decarbonization strategy
- Establishing a risk management framework ensuring that, when risk limits are breached, there is a defined escalation process
- Improving further understanding of the effects of ESG risks on other risk types
- Actively developing and enhancing tools, methods and methodologies for ESG materiality assessment and enabling embedment of stress testing & sensitivities analysis in the overall assessment
- Identifying and quantifying ESG risks within overall process of ensuring capital adequacy quantification, i.e. analyzing potential effects on risk profile and capital allocation under normative and economic view
- Leading thematic reviews and other regulatory driven exercises on the ESG for ICAAP by the European Central Bank, Austrian Central Bank and Austrian Financial Market Authority
- Contributing to key ESG projects within Erste Group which are relevant to the ICAAP

**Your Background**:

- At least 3 years’ experience in ICAAP, risk management (credit, market, liquidity risk) or other similar and related field (e.g. ALM, Controlling, Reporting)
- Bacherlor’s or Master’s degree in an area relevant for this position
- Quantitative and analytical mind
- Skills to work in a complex and dynamic environment
- Team player with hands-on and rolled-up sleeve approach, willingness to learn and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluent in German; English skills in written and verbal communication
- Interested to work in an international and highly motivated team
- Want to develop quickly in a high profile area of the Group
