We are currently developing our innovative Langerhans Cell Targeted Delivery System (LC-TDS) for new immunotherapies - such as anti
- viral vaccines and treatments for autoimmune diseases. The LC-TDS allows for a reduction in drug load and increase in efficacy, offers unprecedented control in antigen delivery, and can be applied by mínimal-invasive transdermal techniques.

To perform those tasks, we consider PhD/doctorate in immunology, dermatology, or related fields essential. Additional postdoctoral training will be helpful. Hands-on experience and certified knowledge on animal work (mice) is required. Previous training in autoimmunity, dendritic cell biology and/or vaccinology will be an advantage.

The position is vacant for the period of absence of a member of staff.

**Extent of Employment**: 40 hours/week

Job grading in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: -48 VwGr. B1 lit. b (postdoc) with relevant work experience determining the assignment to a particular salary grade.

Support and management of research projects in the Molecular Drug Targeting group, especially with respect to immunological research on active drug targeting of immunomodulatory substances in the skin. Background knowledge in the field of dendritic cells and their use in immunotherapy is expected. Publication of research results in peer-reviewed international journals. Acquisition of third-party funds. Teaching in according to the requirements of the University of Vienna. Assistance with administration tasks.

**Profile**:
PhD in Immunology - Experienced in handling of mice in immunological research - Publications in international peer-reviewed journals - Experience in supervising students (BSc MSc and PhD) - Excellent command of written and spoken English - Ability to work in a team.

Experience in DC-based vaccines, mRNA delivery and design, and Autoimmunity, dermatology, Langerhans cells, FELASA certificates.
