- At the **Institute of Sensor and Actuator Systems**, in the **Research Unit of Micro
- and Nanosensors**TU Wien is offering a position as university assistant (PhD student) limited to expected 4 years for 40 hours/week. Expected start: May 2025.

**Tasks**:

- Conduct research in the field of **micro
- Contribute to teaching activities, including supporting courses and mentoring students
- Supervise and collaborate with students in research projects and laboratory work
- Write and publish scientific papers and complete a PhD dissertation
- Participate in scientific conferences, workshops, and events to present research findings and engage with the academic community

**Your profile**:

- **Educational Background**:Master’s or Diploma degree in physics, electrical engineering, nanotechnology, mechanical engineering, or a closely related field
- **Research Skills**: Strong ability to conduct independent, methodical, and responsible research
- **Language Proficiency**: Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
- **Collaboration & Supervision**: Enthusiasm for working in a team, mentoring students, and contributing to a dynamic research environment
- **Soft Skills**: Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work creatively and collaboratively

- Entry level salary is determined by the pay grade B1 of the Austrian collective agreement for university staff. This is a minimum of currently EUR 3,714.80/month gross, 14 times/year for 40 hours/week. Relevant working experiences may increase the monthly income.
