**Position Overview**:
qtlabs is looking for a highly skilled and motivated

**Senior Quantum Key Distribution Expert (f/m/x)**

with extensive experience in QKD systems and their security proofs, to join our team** in Vienna, Austria.**

**Your key responsibilities at qtlabs**:

- Research, design, and implement state-of-the-art Quantum Key Distribution systems.
- Develop, analyze, and evaluate the security proofs of existing and proposed QKD protocols.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in quantum cryptography and related fields.
- Contribute to research publications and intellectual property development.
- Consulting clients in how to migrate a quantum safe cyber infrastructure.

**Your core competencies**:

- Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science preferably with a focus on quantum information and quantum cryptography.
- Extensive experience in the field of Quantum Key Distribution, including a track record of research and development.
- Profound knowledge of various QKD protocols and their associated security proofs.
- Strong expertise in cryptography, including cryptographic primitives and algorithms.
- Basic knowledge of coding theory is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- A strong publication record in reputable scientific journals is a plus.
