The Retail & SME division sits between business and IT infrastructure with the main goal to create and maintain IT systems that solve problems. Our team is working in a hybrid mode and is multidisciplinary. We always work along our mission: Digitalizing the core business of Erste Group banking institutes in the AT and CEE region. Because our products impact both business problems and technical challenges, we are looking for someone who can easily move between the two spheres.

**About the role**:
As Technical Product Owner for our Lending Teams, you drive the full development of technical products. Your purpose thus combines the aspects of analyzing and getting stuff delivered. You need to understand the business needs and be capable of managing expectations, provide clear direction and expected goals, while avoiding unnecessary escalations. This includes the handling of change requests, incidents and problem solving according to defined process and policies. Thus, you ultimately generate a common understanding of business requirements via always having a clear end-customer focus in mind. By having a complete overview of planned delivery, and closely working with the development team, you will ensure an impediment-free pathway, that is also linked to our IT strategy, architecture standards, surrounding systems as well as operation trends. In achieving this goal, you need to communicate with your team and be transparent about challenges, providing an action plan to remove the obstacles. In addition, you take care that Service Level Agreements, agreed Service Level Objectives as well as Key Performing Indicators are existing, met or even exceeded.

**What you'll bring with you**:

- You have success stories about how you were able to analyze a set of business requirements and provided a solution that hit the target. In other words: You understand the needs, challenges and limitation from business as well as from technical perspectives
- A technical understanding on the necessary steps to develop and ship a feature
- Knowledge of how to structure complex issues, prioritize them and support their implementation
- You possess a strong analytical thinking and some technical background. And more importantly you have excellent communication and knowledge transfer skills
- Understanding the interplay between new features, system complexity, and technical debt, making trade-offs among them seamlessly
- Awareness of planning necessity, foreseeing the risk and being ready to quickly act on changes
- Ideally expertise in agile principles (e. g. KANBAN)

**You check these boxes**:

- Some experience in banking (e. g. business of liabilities, guarantees, letters of credit and/or bills of exchange) or software industry
- Foundation of technical knowledge or interest (experience with banking software or even architecture, software development, APIs, infrastructure etc.)
- Establishing clear and well-structured communications
- Expressing your values and opinions in fluent German and English is a must
