- At the **Institute of Chemical, Environmental and Bioscience Engineering**, in the Research Group for Process systems engineering for sustainable resources TU Wien is offering a position as university assistant (prae-doc) limited until the September 30th, 2025 or at the latest until the duration of leave of absence for 35 hours/week. Expected start: October 2024.
In this position you will investigate the potential of streamlining calculations (i.e., creating proxies) for **one or more** of the following:
- Life cycle assessment of waste treatment processes
- Life cycle assessment of equipment units typically used in process industry
- Life cycle assessment and prospective calculations
- Circularity assessment metrics at different scales (i.e., from process and economy perspective)**Ihre Aufgaben**:
- Research and project activity
- Developing your scientific knowledge
- Participation in scientific events
**Ihr Profil**:
- Completion of a master or diploma curriculum in one of these fields: chemical, environmental, energy, mechanical or process engineering
- Participation in projects/courses related to **any** of the following topics: process systems engineering, life cycle assessment, data mining/machine learning
- Good command of English and preferably German
- Interest in research in the field as well as supervision and work with students

Entry level salary is determined by the pay grade B1 of the Austrian collective agreement for university staff. This is a minimum of currently EUR 3,131.50/month gross, 14 times/year for 35 hours/week. Relevant working experiences may increase the monthly income.
