**Your future tasks**:
You actively participate in the research, teaching, and administration of the Institute; this means:

- You work on your dissertation in the Old Testament.
- You participate in publications and lectures.
- You will independently teach courses in accordance with the regulations for prae-docs (approx. 2 semester hours per week from the 2nd year of employment).
- You will support the organization of conferences and workshops.

**This is part of your profile**:

- completed university studies (in Protestant theology or teaching of Protestant religion),
- interest in Old Testament research,
- willingness to familiarize yourself with neighboring disciplines such as Assyriology or Jewish Studies,
- good knowledge of German, English and Hebrew,
- computer skills,
- didactic competence,
- reliability, ability to work in a team,
- initiative and self-organization.

The duration of the contract is 4 years (31.10.2027). Initially limited to 1.5 years, the employment is automatically extended to 4 years if the employer does not submit a non-extension declaration within the first 12 months.
