**THE POSITION**

We are seeking a Laboratory Scientist (f/m/d) to strengthen our multi-disciplinary research team focused on developing innovative drugs for cancer patients. This position, covering for a parental leave, is to be filled immediately and offers a unique opportunity to contribute at the forefront of drug discovery by having a direct impact on the development of novel cancer therapies.

**Tasks & responsibilities**
- Independent planning, coordination, implementation, analysis and documentation of experiments
- Supporting the preclinical drug development pipeline using a broad repertoire of molecular and cellular approaches (e.g., CRISPR/Cas9 genome engineering, flow cytometry, cellular assays involving immune and tumor cells, advanced molecular and cellular techniques, molecular cloning, etc.)
- Continuous development and optimization of assays and methods
- Interpretation and communication of results across multifunctional teams

**Requirements**:

- Good knowledge and understanding of current concepts in Cancer Research
- Curiosity driven, self-organized and independent working style
- M.Sc. or Ph.D. in life sciences or related fields and 2+ years lab experience (previous experience with relevant experimental work, e.g. multicolor flow cytometry, next generation sequencing, CRISPR/Cas9 based methods and in vivo/ex vivo profiling is a plus)
- Strong communication and presentation skills, a critical and creative mindset, advanced data analysis and data management skills

The minimum gross annual salary according to the collective bargaining agreement for this position is EUR 39.625,32 (full time), although the actual salary is based on your technical skills and personal competencies as well as your professional experience.
