**Your new job**:
As a university assistant you actively participate in research and teaching at the Department of Numismatics and Monetary History as well as in its administration.

**What you do exactly**:

- You continue to build up your own research profile in the field of ancient numismatics and monetary history, ideally with a focus on ancient Greek coinage.
- You publish and lecture internationally in ancient numismatics, especially in your area of specialisation.
- You prepare a habilitation thesis in ancient numismatics and monetary history; the habilitation thesis is expected to be ready for publication by the end of the sixth year.
- You acquire third-party funding for research projects in your area as necessary.
- You give university courses according to the requirements specified in the collective agreement for post-doc researchers.
- You are actively involved in the supervision of students.
- You contribute to initiatives of evaluation and quality assurance at the department.
- You make a substantial contribution to the administration of research and teaching at the department.

**Your competences**:

- Outstanding PhD in numismatics and monetary history, or in a related discipline (ancient history, classical archaeology, economic history vel sim.) with a focus on numismatics
- Excellent publications in the field of ancient numismatics and monetary history
- Experience in academic teaching
- Experience in the participation in research projects
- Ability to work in a team and organisational skills
- Languages: German, English, Latin, Ancient Greek (at least basic knowledge)

**Fair salary**:The basic salary of EUR 4,752,30 (14 times a year) increases if we can credit professional experience.
