**Regional Tax Manager EMEA (f/m/d), Vienna, Austria**

Over 20 countries & 70 tax returns, co-operative tax compliance programs, numerous tax audits and projects, all this is managed by our regional team in Vienna. As a Regional Tax Manager you will work in a motivated international team and support Novartis in implementing and enhancing its collaborative and transparent approach to tax compliance.**Your key responsibilities**:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support the enhancement of business operations in alignment with relevant stakeholders
- Provide tax input on new business initiatives to ensure compliance with local tax laws, regulations and global policies
- Monitor local and international tax environment developments, proactively identifying and proposing measures/initiatives
- Act as a Business Partner to internal and external stakeholders
- Work closely with the tax operations function, the shared service centres, local finance teams and act as a first point of contact to drive quality and ensure compliance
- Maintain the tax calendar and monitor information dash-boards
- Support tax audit defense in collaboration with Group Tax, shared service centres and external service providers, etc..
- Support the implementation and maintenance of tax technology tools and act as a first point of contact for outsourcing relationships endorsed by the Group

**Minimum requirements**

**What you’ll bring to the role**:
**Essential**:

- Solid tax technical knowledge and good experience of corporation and international tax laws (incl. transfer pricing, tax trends, etc.) and tax audit management
- Effective team player who can create credibility and confidence within and outside the organization
- Very good interpersonal and communication skills. Good communicator, able to persuasively convey both, ideas and data and present complex information clearly as well as translate tax technicalities and needs into simple value propositions, actions and descriptions understandable also to non-specialists
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams with a pro-active, goal and solution oriented attitude. Focusing on needs of internal customers and is able to respond to changing priorities and deadlines
- Good accounting knowledge IFRS/local statutory
- Digital and Technology savvy

In accordance with Austrian law, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary as stated in the collective bargaining agreement. For this position the minimum salary is € 54.788,3/year (on a full time basis). In most cases, the actual salary will be higher, as we strive to maintain a competitive position in the market and consider your previous experience, qualifications and individual competencies.
