**Your duties & responsibilities**:
The **Category Manager Chemicals** owns the category from A-Z (commercial, supplier, technology strategy). In this exciting role you define the category strategy and support its implementation. You are responsible for running the relevant analyses to drive efficiencies, executing sourcing activities incl. key negotiations and managing supplier and internal relationships. A strong drive towards analysis derived actions completes your profile.

Among your daily key duties are as follows:

- Act as a key contributor in the Global Chemicals Category team.
- Support the category strategies Interacting with a cross functional team (R&D, PMs, Regulatory, Plant Managers ) to achieve the execution of Global projects considering regional specificities, identify and capture savings opportunities to create a competitive advantage for the business and mitigate supply risks. Develop and leverage supplier relationships that drive opportunities for value creation throughout the entire Supply Chain.
- Conduct initiatives to lower the Total Cost of ownership of the scope of work: RFQ, e-auctions, Redesign to Cost, development of BCC suppliers and Supply Chain optimizations.
- Negotiate contract clauses compliant with the procurement risk Management policy. Build robust framework agreements with the support of Legal.
- Develop and maintain a robust and centralised system to grow business with suppliers or exit them according to the Chemicals Category strategy. Establish a Program to erase single sourcing situations and at the meantime avoid operating with an unnecessary fragmented pool of suppliers and materials portfolio.
- Ensure supplier governance initiatives and relationship management through regular reviews, visits and supplier audits.
- Provide feedback on supplier capacities to meet Cflex expectations in terms of QCDT (Quality, Cost, Delivery timeline and Technologies).
- Populate and communicate within the relevant members of CFlex organization on the market intelligence data that have an impact on the packaging business support the budget and forecast processes.
- Interact with Cflex stakeholders in charge of sustainability and key stakeholders from Sales, PM and R&D functions to provide visibility on the pledge 2025 impact for the Bill of Materials.

**Requirements**:
**Technical & Personal Requirements**:

- Academic background: Master in Materials/Chemicals Engineering or Master in Procurement.
- Professional experience: 5 years of experience in a relevant position.
- Business partner mindset and resilience are essential in this role.
- Strong sense of ownership and leadership.
- Solid analytical skills.
- Great at building strong internal and external working relationships in a matrix organization.
- Good interpersonal/communication skills.
- Passionate about innovation and packaging mega trends.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint.
- Proficient English, German is a plus

- We offer an exciting and challenging role within a high-performance team at a compensation package above market-average (based on previous experience). Due to the legal obligation, we have to state the minimum salary of the collective agreement for the processing metal industry at this point (EUR 3,000 gross), but expressly point out that we can offer a remuneration package that deviates significantly from this, depending on qualification and experience and that is in line with the market._
