**Who you are**

In the role as Public Relations Leader, you focus on promoting and protecting the IKEA brand through effective media and stakeholder relations to enable the business to deliver our commitments and our value goals: Better Homes, Better Lives, Better Planet and Better Company.
- You have profound education in the field of external communication, public relations, journalism or comparable fields. Ideally (but no must) you have several years of working experience in an international corporate environment.
- You have deep knowledge working in the field of media relations (incl. social media and influencer collaborations), as well as crisis communication and brand positioning.
- You have a clear understanding of the complete Austrian media landscape, how to best leverage it and how to track & measure progress and success.
- You have a strong network and strong relations into the Austrian world of media and journalism.
- You have broad experience in supporting leaders and spokespeople in their communication and are an adequate sparring partner to senior & C-level leaders when it comes to external communication/PR.
- You are ready to act as a spokesperson for IKEA Austria when appropriate.
- You bring a 360 degree mindset with you that takes all target groups and channels into account.
- You can identify with and match our IKEA values and come with a ‘happy rebel’ mindset: A can-do positive attitude, an array of new ideas and a palpable passion and drive to take our PR game to the next level
- You have excellent communication skills in German and English as well as strong digital communication skills.

**Your responsibilities**

You contribute to our growth by strongly positioning IKEA as a truly meaningful and

trusted brand in people's hearts & minds, with a focus on us as a retailer and our positive societal impact.
- You lead, steer, and ensure the implementation of the strategy for product and corporate PR and Media relations (focus on earned and owned media) in line with the country business & growth plan.
- You promote and protect the IKEA brand and drive reactive, proactive and activist communication externally through effective media and influencer relationships in close cooperation with other relevant functions.
- You drive and elevate the brand awareness of IKEA among the public through effective and targeted media relations - co-leading events and brand activation initiatives with other functions.
- You stay up-to-date on current affairs in order to create opportunities to position our stories in a way that resonates with the outside world.
- You identify and empower IKEA leaders to be inspiring communicators, training and supporting spokespersons on delivering effective and appropriate communication. You act as spokesperson yourself when appropriate.
- You develop and strengthen communication preparedness for reputational issues, risks and crisis communication.
- You are a coach and sparring partner to managers and the communication team when it comes to public and media relations.

For this fulltime limited position we offer you a monthly gross salary starting from € 3737;
- (on fulltime base). We are willing to pay significantly more depending on experience and qualification with an ALL IN contractual agreement.
