**Senior AV Technician**

ADF International is looking for a highly professional **Senior AV Technician **to join us in our Vienna office. As the Senior AV Technician, you are a vital part of the AV Team and ADF International in Vienna, Austria. In this role, you will report to the Director of Audio-Visual Services and will be responsible for assisting the ADF International team with 50+ events each year - consisting of local seminars, conferences, webinars, larger week-long training events, media hits, fundraisers, dinners, video interviews, podcasts, etc. For this position, you need excellent project management skills, communication skills, extensive live event experience, and a passion to serve. Furthermore, as part of the larger Alliance Defending Freedom AV Team (US), you will also be called on to assist them with projects. This position will require regular travel.

**Your Essential Responsibilities**:
In this position, you will:

- Facilitate audiovisual needs via a Helpdesk ticketing system.
- Produce each event from concept to delivery (i.e. executing on the stakeholder’s vision, and delivering the final product, whether it be the live event itself, or a recording of the event).
- Setting and striking all equipment associated with an event such as audio, video, lighting, drape, décor, and maintenance and repairs.
- Ability to communicate highly technical issues with non-technical people, stakeholders, and clients.
- Edit and distribute all final event videos and audio files.
- Sketchup creation. Creating very detailed 3-D and 2-D layouts of event spaces.
- Occasionally assist in shooting interviews and B-Roll footage when applicable and needed.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, where last minute changes are constant.
- Data management. Managing storage of all past and current event videos using our internal server.
- Managing and scheduling of event logistics - as it pertains to AV.
- Mobilizing necessary resources (AV contractors, hotel staff, trucking companies, etc.).
- Procure vendor quotes and manage a strict production budget.
- Acting liaison between stakeholders and AV crew.
- Highly innovative, with the ability to problem solve, and a passion to succeed.
- Highly technical. Required to be hands-on in the technical aspects of production (i.e. running a soundboard, video switcher, cameras, lighting, streaming protocols, video editing, graphic design, etc.).
- Manage all AV equipment and software. Ensuring resources are maintained, organized, and in good condition.
- Maintain a detailed inventory list.
- A passion for continued education and the ability to be trained.
- Ability to lift 25+ kg.
- Some travel required (20%).

- You may be asked to perform related duties or special projects as assigned within the general scope of the position.

**Skills you need to succeed**:
Knowledge of:

- television broadcast requirements, webinar platforms, streaming protocols, and some networking.

Demonstrated proficiency in:

- Professional proficiency in German and English required.
- Audio and video editing experience with Creative Cloud Products (i.e. Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Audition, Media Encoder, etc). Graphic design, Photoshop, and After Effects skills required (5+ years).
- Windows and Macintosh operating systems (5+ years).

Ability to:

- Ability to effectively communicate project goals and objectives to both the stakeholder and AV crew.
- Strong multi-tasking capabilities; handling projects and tasks across teams and external alliance partners.

**Education and/or experience**:

- Bachelors or Associates Degree in Recording Arts, Audio Production, Multi-Media Production, Mass Communications, similar academic field or equivalent years of experience.
- 7+ years of experience with AV equipment and best practices (i.e. Yamaha, QSC, Behringer, Allen & Heath, Audio Technica, Shure, NewTek TriCaster, BlackMagic, ProPresenter, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).

**Valid work permit for Austria or EU citizenship required.
