**We are looking for**:
As part of the further development of the Cooperative Systems Research Group (COSY) at the Faculty of Computer Science, we are looking for a dedicated staff member in the field of Post-von Neumann architectures.
The focus of your work will be the processing of scientific questions in the area of the research group as well as the cooperation in national and/or European research projects.
As a university assistant predoc you will complement the research team around Univ.Prof. Dr. Peter Reichl and take over tasks in the context of research, teaching and public relations of the research group Cooperative Systems.
The focus of your work will be directed towards high-quality research and teaching as well as active participation in the scientific discourse.

**Your essential tasks**:

- Participation in research, teaching and administration
- Participation in national and/or international research projects
- Completion of a dissertation
- Teaching activities and participation in student supervision

Specifically, you will actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means:

- You will participate in research projects and scientific studies in the research areas of the Cooperative Systems research group.
- You are expected to work torwards yourdissertation and its completion.
- You are expected to complete your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months.
- You will independently teach courses to the extent stipulated in the collective bargaining agreement.
- You will take on administrative tasks in research & teaching.

**Your personality**:
For this position, it is mandatory that you have a relevant university education in computer science, mathematics, physics or a related field.
In addition, experience in communicating technologies to a broader audience is highly desired.

Other requirements:

- Completed diploma/master's degree with honors in computer science, applied mathematics, physics, or a related field.
- Scientific interest in the following direction desired: Post-von Neumann architectures (e.g. quantum computing, bio-inspired computing, natural computation, etc.)
- Ability to perform scientific work independently
- Experience with research and development projects in a national and international environment as well as in third mission activities is an advantage
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English
- Very good communication skills, high level of written and oral expression, ability to work under pressure and in a team

- Fixed-term contract: The contract duration upon employment is 3 years. Initially limited to 1.5 years, the employment contract is automatically extended to 3 years if the employer does not submit a non-extension declaration within the first 12 months. If the work progresses accordingly, an extension to a maximum of 4 years is possible.
