**Investment Controlling & Finance (ICF)**
**team** and are hiring a
**Visiting Analyst (Intern) **ideally
**for**
**6+ months** in
**Vienna**

**About the Position**:
Within this role you will support the middle office and valuation team and you will be exposed to all portfolio monitor processes and gather valuable insights to get deep understanding of how a VC fund manages its investments.

As one of the biggest investors in European VC sector, we are building a new approach on how we monitor all our investment pipeline: this new role will be crucial for building the processes that will enable data-driven decisions within the organization. The resource will collaborate with all the departments within Speedinvest and, in addition to the main day-to-day tasks, will manage and roll out various ongoing projects.

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Being responsible for **portfolio monitoring procedures** aimed at the preparation of reporting for third-party assessments, financial institutions and Speedinvest’ s LPs
- Ensuring the **data capturing, entry and functioning of internal system** to facilitate and create the data-driven investment decision processes
- Collaborating closely with **investment managers** to ensure timely interaction between all **stakeholders**:

- Becoming familiar with monitoring procedures and related tools and willing to also step further in this area by providing further support during valuation and reporting cycles
- Supporting the review of capitalisation tables and exit distribution models (in Excel format) and administration of investment contracts related
- Supporting the **drafting of transaction summaries** for reporting team and accountants and execution of payments of investment amounts
- Monitoring and **double-checking investment restrictions and liquidity positions** of the funds to ensure that the current investment pipeline is matched with enough liquidity
- Supporting **transactions monitoring** on an ongoing basis and on **post-closing matters**, such as answering any questions Speedinvest’s external service providers may have on specific deals

**Your Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in business or STEM
- Initial relevant work experience in a fast-paced work environment (such as VC, PE, Tech startup, Consulting, IB) appreciated but not strictly required; basic knowledge of financial ratio and business metrics is a plus
- Smart and analytical approach to work, attention to details and no fear of taking initiative and responsibility: any new idea is appreciated by the ICF team
- Strong interpersonal skills with an outgoing nature and team mentality
- Eager to learn about VC and interested in tech disruptors
- Fluent in English, additional language skills is a plus
