Product Manager (M/F/d)
For our Business Unit Product Management in Marketing at Leica Microsystems in Vienna where we develop, manufacture and market a comprehensive product range for the preparation of biological, medical and industrial samples for electron microscopy. We are looking for a Product Manager (M/F/d) who will mainly ensure the position of Leica as an expert with knowledge how to develop new solutions for sample preparation including integrated workflows for light and electron microscopy.

GENERAL SUMMARY & OVERALL CHALLENGES
The Product Manager will develop new solutions for sample preparation and integrated workflow for light and electron microscopy.
**RESPONSIBILITES**:
Responsibility for specific products existing in/at the actual portfolio with main focus on our Ultramicrotomy productline (Ultracuts)
Define new products respectively product lines, support development and launch them successfully into the market
Interface with R&D, Operations and Industrial Engineering throughout the product lifecycle
Interface with global sales organizations and creation of product-specific sales material to support global product presentations, fairs, and trainings
Organize and collect “voice of customer” feedback
Development of new workflow solutions and product ideas with customers and internal R&D teams, based on market requirements and competitor moves
Drive customer focused innovation across a highly multidisciplinary team together with other Leica Microsystems locations in Germany
**REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION**:
Professional Experience
Extensive knowledge of ultramicrotomy and EM-Sample preparation
Knowledge of microscopy techniques (light and electron microscopy) including appropriate sample preparation methods (e.g. coatings, HPF, milling, sample transfer, etc.) is necessary
Hands-On experience with light
- and electron microscopy including the corresponding sample preparation methods is a plus
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar position
Strong organizational skills
**Education**: Master’s degree and a strong scientific background
**Language skills**: English fluently, German desirable
Willingness to travel, about 35%
