As a Research Coordinator within the Strategy & Experience Design (SDE) Operations & Governance team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and managing research activities that drive customer-centric design decisions. You will work closely with the Research Lead as well as Experience Designers and Researchers to ensure smooth coordination, governance and execution of customer research initiatives. Your focus will be on ensuring that research activities adhere to best practices, timelines and governance standards, while also helping to optimise processes for research recruitment, data collection, governance and reporting, as well as onboarding team members to our research tools. **Position Deliverables:** - Research planning & coordination - Recruitment & audience management - Research & data management & reporting - Process improvement & documentation - Governance & compliance **Knowledge Required:** - Strong understanding of the financial services and banking industry, particularly in relation to customer experience, digital transformation and regulatory requirements - Knowledge of current UX research methods, including usability testing, user interviews, surveys and ethnographic research, with an understanding of how these methods can be applied within the banking sector - Awareness of industry compliance and governance standards related to customer data, privacy laws (such as the Australian Privacy Principles), and ethical research practices **Qualifications Required:** Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Design, or a related field. Additional certifications in research methodologies, UX, or project management (e.g., Certifications in UX Research or Agile methodology) are highly desirable. **Experience Required:** **_Essential_** - Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a research coordination or project management role, ideally within a large-scale, fast-paced environment like banking, finance, or technology - Proven experience working in experience design operations, managing customer research projects from start to finish, including scheduling, participant recruitment, and governance - Strong understanding of customer research methodologies and their application within large organisations, particularly in digital and customer experience contexts - Experience managing relationships with third-party vendors and external recruitment agencies - Familiarity with research tools (e.g., UserTesting, Optimal Workshop, or similar platforms) and project management tools (e.g. Confluence, MS tools) - Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, prioritise competing demands, and manage logistics in a complex environment **Key Skills & Attributes** - Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with diverse stakeholders and clearly communicate research findings - Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accuracy in research documentation and reporting - Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders across different levels of the organisation
