Transport Services is a Group within the Department of Transport & Planning and is responsible for delivering safe, reliable and accessible transport infrastructure and services to all Victorians. Metropolitan Transport Division in Transport Services Group maintains and renews existing assets and plans, develops and delivers upgrades to the metropolitan road network, pedestrian, cycling, bus and tram infrastructure. We manage the metropolitan bus contracts, overseeing operator performance and asset management. We’re focused on outcomes that deliver more choice, connections and confidence in our travel, ensuring the whole transport network works as one to deliver better services and outcomes. About the Role The role is to exercise, under supervision, professional judgement to achieve project assurance on road and bridge works to achieve project scope, quality, cost, time, safety and environmental requirements in accordance with relevant policies and toolkits. To Access The Position Description, Please Click Here Position Outcomes \* Project Assurance – Continuously assures that works are being executed in accordance with the requirements of Specifications, technical standards, codes of practice and legislation. \* Project Monitoring – Provides timely advice and records on the progress of works including against schedule, budget, resources plan, and supports the evaluation of contractor claims. \* Construction and OH&S Advice – Provides advice on construction practices, safe execution of works, and innovative responses to complex construction and traffic management problems where defined policy and procedures do not always exist. Prepares and reviews complex traffic management plans \* Community Engagement – The incumbent has actively engaged with key stakeholders and the community, as required. \* Quality and Risk Management – The delivers risk-based surveillance plans and undertakes surveillance and audits in accordance with that plan. \* Promote and support safe, inclusive and flexible team operations. We are looking for a candidate with a Foundational level of expertise in Project Delivery, capable of executing tasks according to plan, prioritizing work based on urgency, and maintaining accurate project records using approved management tools. The ideal candidate should demonstrate Critical Thinking and Problem Solving by resolving issues through policy guidelines or seeking guidance when needed. Strong Stakeholder Management skills are essential, with a focus on responding to client needs, addressing inquiries, and resolving problems promptly. You should also have the ability to Influence and Persuade using logical arguments and concrete evidence, while contributing to Innovation and Continuous Improvement by generating ideas for enhancing work quality and maintaining high standards under pressure.
