**About the role** As a Senior Manager or Client Director in the State Taxes team of our Tax Advisory practice, you will provide technical and commercially focused advice to a diverse range of clients across all states and territories of Australia, centred on Stamp Duty, Land Tax and other associated property taxes. **Key responsibilities** - Providing technically accurate, commercially focused and tailored advice and solutions to clients and internal stakeholders - Preparing private ruling applications, objections correspondence, lodgements and relief applications - Handling investigations and other compliance activities undertaken by various revenue offices and dealing with disputes with revenue offices - Building and managing client relationships and collaborating with internal stakeholders - Active involvement with the delivery of internal and external training and business development initiatives **Who we're after** Here are the some of the key qualifications, skills and personal attributes we’re looking for. If you tick most of the boxes, but not all – that’s ok We’d still love for you to apply. - Law and/or accounting degree, with experience in state taxes (i.e. stamp duty, land tax, windfall gains tax), or in a different area which requires interpretation of legislation. - You are commercially focused, you think strategically, and can work either work autonomously or collaboratively in a team. - You have strong legislative interpretation skills and can craft well written, accurate and practical pieces of advice.
