**Your New Role ** Reporting to the Commercial Director, the Commercial Manager, will partner with the organisation to provide commercial and financial management services for a portfolio of projects, ensuring the achievement of strategic objectives while balancing responsibilities from corporate, finance, and business unit perspectives. **Core Accountabilities: ** - Partner with development teams to prepare and review plans, forecasts, and budgets at both divisional and project levels for Corporate Planning and Investment Committee Papers. - Stakeholder Management on financial and commercial outcomes - Developing financial models and strategies, offering decision support and analysis, contributing to planning and forecasting, and providing essential input into project outcomes and decisions. - Report changes to approved financial plans, forecasts, and budgets promptly to enable effective overall risk and opportunity management. - Develop project feasibility and financial models to facilitate scenario analysis, pricing strategies, procurement, and strategic decisions. - Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the development and finance teams to achieve strategic outcomes. - Offer Market Commercial Insights and stay updated on industry timing, costing, and trends. - Actively manage risks by systematically identifying, analysing, evaluating, and treating risks that may impact project objectives. - If you are a seasoned Commercial Manager ready to make a significant impact within the Victorian community by combining your financial expertise with strategic influence and partnership skills, we invite you to apply. **6-month contract with potential for extension or permanency** Desired Skills and Experience **About You** Education - Bachelor degree in Business, Finance or Accounting - CA/CPA qualified Experience - At least 5 years’ experience working in a mid-sized, project-based, corporate organisation, within the finance/commercial/ business partnering field - Experience within the field of property development, construction or a related industry - Experience delivering and presenting complex financial concepts in a simplistic manner - Skills and experience conceptualizing, developing and presenting feasibilities/business cases and supporting financial models - Proficient in major financial, reporting and planning systems (TechOne, Tableau and preferred). - Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and EstateMaster. - Intermediate skills in Word and PowerPoint. **Employee Benefits ** - We drive strong collaboration and support our teams to work virtually and flexibly. - Professional development opportunities available including; - Study support - Mentoring programs - Opportunity to participate in cross functional working groups that drive diversity and inclusion and sustainability initiatives. - Novated leasing - Purchase leave - Paid parental leave - Technology salary sacrifice - Employee referral bonuses - Health & Wellbeing initiatives such as EAP and mental health and wellbeing leave - Access to group life & group salary continuance insurance - Modern onsite facilities **Application Process ** - Please apply via our careers page linked to this advertisement, applications will not be accepted via email. - Please note: The preferred candidate will be required to complete a national police record check prior to an offer of employment being made. - At Development Victoria, we work flexibly and value diversity, and we invite you to talk to us about any preferences or adjustments you may value or require to either our recruitment process or the role itself.
