**Role Overview:**  The SAP Architect - Retail to cover Retail capabilities in the SAP Modernisation program, lead the technology design within the Business Process Stream for Retail, ensuring technical solutions meet business requirements and are implemented according to the client's IT methodology. This role supports the Business Process Stream Lead in delivering the Program Solution, ensuring interoperability with other process and technical teams. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead the design and implementation of complex ERP integration projects within the Retail department. - Ensure solutions align with the organization's strategic direction. - Develop and maintain architectural knowledge and skills, including interpersonal, business, and technical abilities. - Build and maintain relationships across the business to establish trust and cooperation. - Translate retail solution designs and business requirements into high-quality functional designs. - Provide thought leadership in program deliverables, including implementation, planning, and detailed tracking. - Lead design deliverables to consolidate operational ERP systems into a central SAP system. **Must have:** - Over 15 years of experience in the IT industry, with extensive experience in relevant stream systems. - SAP Industry Solution Retail and Customer Activity Repository/CAR (Point of Sales Data Management/ POSDM) implementation experience is mandatory. - Expertise in SAP and understanding of its strengths and weaknesses compared to competing products. - Recent experience with modern SAP solution suites and methodologies. - Knowledge of architecture frameworks and methods such as TOGAF. - Advanced experience with SAP ERP product configuration and custom development. - Experience in large-scale system transformation programs. - Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
