Amplify your impact at a world top 50 University \* Join our inclusive, collaborative community \* Be surrounded by extraordinary ideas - and the people who discover them The Opportunity We’re seeking a Technical Officer to support ground-breaking work in the NanoBiotechnology and NanoTheranostics laboratories at the Australian Centre for Blood Diseases (ACBD). In this dynamic position, you will provide professional, high-quality technical support to researchers, contributing to the development of novel glucose-responsive insulin platforms, imaging technologies, and advanced drug delivery systems. Your responsibilities will include managing day-to-day laboratory operations, maintaining equipment, conducting experiments, and assisting with data analysis. Key Responsibilities \* Assist in conducting experiments and managing materials, equipment, and supplies \* Provide guidance and training on equipment use and compliance with standard protocols \* Maintain knowledge of the latest methodologies, technologies, and data management techniques \* Identify and resolve research-related issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives \* Conduct animal work, including diabetic mouse models and other disease models \* Perform molecular biology and protein-related tasks such as cell culture, RT-PCR, qPCR, Western Blotting, ELISA, protein purification, and immunohistochemistry \* Support flow cytometry (FACS) and other advanced technical processes The ideal candidate will have: \* A tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant field \* Strong analytical and organisational skills with a keen attention to detail \* Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team \* Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques, protein work, histology, and animal models \* A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous learning This is an opportunity to be part of innovative research at the forefront of nanotechnology and biotechnology.
