**About the Role** We are on the lookout for a **Senior Payroll Officer to** join our dynamic People & Culture team. In this **12-month fixed term contract role,** you will support the Payroll Leader managing day-to-day payroll operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and on time. You'll handle complex payroll tasks, keep us compliant with regulations, and help resolve any payroll-related issues or queries effectively. - Process and review employee pay, deductions, and entitlements, handling complex payroll queries and discrepancies - Maintain and update payroll systems with employee data changes - Ensure payroll processes comply with relevant laws and regulations, including preparation and submission of statutory reports - Respond to payroll-related inquiries and provide clear, accurate information to employees. Assist with leave balances, deductions, and tax-related queries - Identify and implement process improvements to streamline payroll processing ensuring payroll systems are up-to-date and functional **About You** - In-depth knowledge of payroll processes and compliance with Australian laws. - Experience in SAP SuccessFactors is desirable - Experience with Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBA) is advantageous. - Attention to detail, excellent communication skills, problem-solving skills, and time management - High ethical standards and the ability to maintain confidentiality - Relevant qualification in Payroll, Accounting, or Business Administration preferred
