The Danieli Group, a leading manufacturer of plants and machines for producing metals, is seeking an experienced Shipping Manager to strengthen its team in Völkermarkt.

Danieli Engineering & Services GmbH, based in Völkermarkt, Carinthia, operates within the DANIELI Group, providing spare parts and services for the metallurgical process chain in plant engineering.


Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Shipping Manager to oversee the shipping department, ensuring correct invoicing and shipment management, as well as maintaining an orderly and efficient flow.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the department, motivating the team, and collaborating professionally with the Managing Directors and other departments.

The role requires a deep understanding of operational logistic processes, as well as strategic planning and execution.


Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate with forwarders to secure optimal logistics solutions
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their abilities and workload
  • Process delivery orders and facilitate coordination between logistics subsidiaries
  • Monitor shipments and track progress

Requirements
  • Completed education in logistics or a related field
  • Excellent knowledge of logistics, customs, and Incoterms
  • Leadership experience in a logistics environment is highly desirable
  • Fluency in English (B2) and German (C1)
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA is a plus)
