Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist - Strategic Projects who will support strategic purchasing projects from customer inquiry through to series release (APQP). As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for project-related supplier selection and qualification on international markets, drafting and negotiating contracts with suppliers and service providers, ensuring quality standards are met in the procurement of materials, managing document distribution, controlling purchasing prices, and conducting regular benchmarks (procurement market research).
Responsibilities:
- Support strategic purchasing projects from customer inquiry through to series release (APQP)
- Project-related supplier selection and qualification on international markets
- Drafting and negotiating contracts with suppliers and service providers
- Ensuring quality standards are met in the procurement of materials
- Document management (distribution of drawings)
- Purchasing price controlling and regular reporting
- Conducting regular benchmarks (procurement market research)
Requirements:
- Educational background: completed studies or comparable training and further education in the technical or business management field
- Professional experience: several years of experience in technical purchasing, ideally in a manufacturing company
- IT skills: MS Office, ideally SAP
- Skills: strong negotiating skills, communication, willingness to travel internationally to the extent of about 10%, project management, fluency in German and English
Compensation & Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range between $80,000 - $120,000 per year based on qualifications and experience. Additional benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
