Risk Management Specialist for Digital Channels

About the RoleWe're currently seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist for Digital Channels to join our team. As a key member of our Customer Due Diligence (CDD) Operations Department, you will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations of customers to detect potential money laundering risks and vulnerable gamblers.
Your primary objective will be to ensure that customers can afford their levels of play and are protected from gambling harm. This requires handling sensitive customer information with care and dealing with potentially distressed or angry customers in a calm, professional, and empathetic manner.
Key Responsibilities- Contacting customers via telephone or other electronic means to address potential Safer Gambling, Affordability, or Financial Crime concerns
- Delivering exceptional customer service while promoting the use of Safer Gambling tools or gathering Source of Funds evidence
- Evaluating customer responses and applying appropriate controls to mitigate risk in a timely manner
- Maintaining a documented audit trail of decision-making and ensuring all necessary actions are taken, such as loss limits, deposit limits, or account closure
- Handling sensitive information in accordance with data privacy requirements
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Excellent written and verbal English skills
- Fluent German at business level
- Able to communicate sensitively and calmly with customers who may be distressed or angry
- Experience handling sensitive, confidential customer information
- A thorough understanding of Safer Gambling and AML policy requirements
- Sound knowledge of Safer Gambling customer tools
- A proven track record in delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
