Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating innovative control strategies for all operational phases of the plant lifecycle.
- Defining specifications for control systems.
- Collaborating on the selection of control equipment.
- Participating in HAZOP and LOPA assessments.
- Integrating control loop indicators into piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
- Drafting process function descriptions, interlock specifications, and control loop schematics.
- Working closely with project management and various engineering disciplines during both proposal and engineering phases.
- Serving as the liaison to software engineering teams.
- Leading software Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and Site Acceptance Tests (SATs).
- Participating in commissioning, start-up, and optimization activities.
- Refining control strategies for research and development projects.
In terms of qualifications, you should possess:
- A degree in automation or process engineering.
- A minimum of three years' experience as a process control or instrumentation engineer, with experience in the petrochemical or gas industry being advantageous.
- Knowledge of gas system control.
- Experience with PLC programming is beneficial.
- The ability to consult with clients and regulatory bodies regarding technical design requirements.
- Strong communication skills to articulate design solutions effectively.
- Excellent analytical and planning abilities.
- A customer-oriented, proactive approach.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in another European language is a plus.
- Willingness to travel as required.
