Process Design Engineer for Green Hydrogen and Renewable Fuel Solutions

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Design Engineer to join our team at ANDRITZ, a leading global supplier of plants and equipment for hydropower, pulp and paper, metal, and other sectors. As a Process Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our entry into the P2X market by designing plant concepts for our green hydrogen and renewable fuel solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop innovative concepts for modularization and standardization of plant designs
- Optimize integration with adjacent processes such as power supply, CO2 capture, and e-fuel production
- Collaborate with project management and disciplines such as piping, layout, static and rotating equipment, electrical, and automation
- Prepare mass- and energy balance calculations and related process flow diagrams (PFD)
- Collect and provide emission data for effluent, heat, noise, gas, etc.
- Specify and co-select sub-supplied equipment
- Provide plant process and interlock descriptions
- Review piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) over the full project lifecycle
- Degree-level qualification in a process, chemical, automation, or mechanical engineering discipline
- Minimum three years of experience as a process engineer, with experience in the petrochemical industry a plus
- Knowledge of process simulation programs
- Ability to consult with customers and notified bodies about technical design requirements
- Strong communication, analytical, and planning skills
