Senior Product Engineer for Green Hydrogen Electrical Solutions

Contribute to reducing global greenhouse gases by developing innovative solutions for green hydrogen production. As a Senior Product Engineer for Green Hydrogen Electrical Solutions, you will play a key role in shaping our technology roadmap and driving business growth in the electrolysis market.
ANDRITZ has a strong track record in turnkey and EPC projects globally, with a high level of competence in best-cost manufacturing. We collaborate closely with HyCentA Technical University Graz and Fraunhofer ISE, and have a strong connection to potential Green Hydrogen customers in the energy sector through ANDRITZ Hydro.
We are seeking a highly skilled Green Hydrogen Product Engineer Electrical Solutions to join our team at our headquarters in Vienna.
Key Responsibilities:
- Concept designing for power distribution and rectifier systems at plant level
- Researching and evaluating potential partners and suppliers
- Defining and creating electrical studies (short circuit, harmonic, arc flash protection and coordination, grounding)
- Establishing and managing electrical design standards
- Providing electric system cost and design advisory within sales and execution projects
- Preparing electrical basic design documents
- Creating and evaluating inquiries for the procurement process
Requirements:
- Degree level qualification in an engineering discipline
- Minimum five years of experience in designing and implementing industrial medium and low voltage power systems
- Proven experience with industrial rectifier systems and/or high voltage (HV) systems is a plus
- Ability to consult and negotiate with customers and suppliers to prepare robust specifications, explain proposals in an engaging manner and present results in clear and factual engineering reports
- Experience to perform acceptance tests and to supervise the installation and commissioning during start-up
- Knowledge about European electrical standards. North American standards will be a plus
- Experience in the preparation and evaluation of short-circuit and harmonic studies is an advantage.
- Strong communication, analytical and planning skills
- Solution/team/customer oriented with the confidence to act pro-actively
- Fluent in English. Another European language is an advantage
- Willingness to travel for at least 5 days per month

In Austria, we are legally obliged to announce at least a gross monthly salary of € 7,800 / month for this position. Depending on qualifications and professional experience, we offer a market-based salary.
