Risk Management Expert Wanted

Erste Group is seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Expert to join its Corporate Risk Management Division. As a leading banking group in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), we provide our employees with a dynamic and challenging work environment.

The Team Corporate Underwriting & Analysis focuses on corporate risk matters of Austrian and International Corporate Clients with a strong emphasis on CEE. Our core competence lies in analyzing, recommending, and/or taking credit decisions for corporate customers.

Your Main Responsibilities
  • You will assess the creditworthiness of large national and international corporates in Austria and CEE, considering the forward-looking assessment of their business model, repayment capability, and liquidity.
  • You will decide on loan applications, either within your discretionary approval authority or by preparing a clear recommendation to the final decision maker.
  • You will be responsible for a dedicated portfolio of corporate client groups, focusing on a specific industry.
  • You will define risk strategies on clients and the covered industry.
  • You will participate in client meetings and cooperate with different departments and CEE subsidiaries within Erste Group.
Key Requirements and Qualifications
  • You hold a degree in business administration or law.
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in Corporate Banking (Account Manager/Risk Manager/Credit Analysis/Corporate Finance).
  • You are familiar with lending products and legal basics.
  • You possess strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills in German and English.
  • You are flexible and resilient to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • You are willing to cooperate with colleagues of other departments/ CEE subsidiaries in a multi-cultural environment.
  • You are ready to travel occasionally.
  • You are open-minded, result- and target-oriented.
  • You have very good language skills in German and English.
