Master Thesis: SiC based Quantum Sensing

Infineon Technologies is seeking a highly motivated and skilled master student to work on a research project focused on quantum sensing and simulation. The project will involve the development of a SiC color-center-defect based magnetometer technology, which has the potential to revolutionize the field of quantum sensing.
Responsibilities- Conduct quantum mechanical modeling and simulations to optimize the performance of the magnetometer technology
- Implement efficient read-out models and algorithms to extract sensor information from physically measured quantities
- Support measurements in the quantum sensing lab and assist in the fabrication of new prototypes in a professional clean room
- Master's degree in Physics or a related field
- Independent working style and ability to work in a team
- Experience in executing simulations and knowledge of quantum mechanics, photonics, and electrodynamics
- Fluent in English (spoken and written), German is a plus
