About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Low Level Agent Engineer to join our team at Dynatrace Austria GmbH. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for implementing new features, changes, and improvements to our Ruby Agent, written in C, C++, and Ruby.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop performance and availability monitoring solutions for Ruby applications
  • Work primarily with Ruby and C++ (for native extensions)
  • Analyze and understand the inner workings of common Ruby gems
  • Design and implement new features and feature ownership
  • Collaborate with local and international development teams
Requirements
  • Several years of experience as a Software Engineer with Ruby (priority) and C++
  • Knowledge of OpenTelemetry is a plus
  • Knowledge of different Ruby interpreters (CRuby/JRuby) is a plus
  • Knowledge of Ruby native extensions and FFI is a plus
  • Experience publishing Ruby Gems is a plus
  • Ability to focus on details but keep the mind open for the whole ecosystem
