At the Zumtobel Group, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our customs and export control operations. As our Director Global Customs Expert, you will be responsible for ensuring that all relevant regulations are met and adhered to, while also fostering a culture of compliance within our organization.


About the Role
  • You will be the key expert on customs and export control regulations, leading the development and implementation of our global customs strategy.
  • You will oversee the import-export operations, tariff classifications, and AEO certification, ensuring that our organization remains compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • You will manage the customs and export control processes, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external authorities to ensure seamless operations.
  • You will lead and guide a team of customs professionals, providing mentorship and support to help them grow professionally and develop their skills.
  • You will conduct audits and training sessions to maintain a high level of competency in customs and export control knowledge across the organization.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in customs regulations and export control.
  • A bachelor's degree or higher education in a relevant field, or a dedicated customs-specific program.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to lead and inspire teams, balance strategic and operational responsibilities, and mentor and motivate others.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and maintain an overview.
  • Fluency in German and English, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different cultures.
