Sample Management Specialist

Avantor is seeking a skilled Sample Management Technician to join our team in Langkampfen, Austria. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for handling customer samples and ensuring their proper administration and storage.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and distribute samples independently, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to analytical teams.
- Provide regular updates on sample status to analytical teams, ensuring seamless collaboration.
- Receive and inspect sample deliveries, verifying completeness of materials and documents.
- Label and prepare samples for storage, adhering to regulatory and quality requirements.
- Store and manage samples in accordance with regulatory and quality standards.
- Dispose of samples in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Prepare samples for shipping, including documentation and labeling.
- Assist in creating work instructions and SOPs to ensure efficient laboratory processes.
- Provide exceptional customer service, actively listening to concerns and suggesting improvements to laboratory support processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to occupational safety regulations.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Completed vocational training as a chemistry or biology laboratory technician.
- First-hand laboratory experience in a comparable area, or recent graduation with a relevant degree.
- Knowledge of GxP and rules of conduct in a chemical laboratory.
- Proficiency in Excel and SAP, with fluency in English and German language skills.
- A quality-oriented personality with excellent customer service skills.
The gross annual salary for this position is at least €38,000, with potential for higher compensation based on qualifications and experience.
