Job Summary

Takeda is seeking an experienced and skilled Head of Site Engineering to join our team in Vienna. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the technical operations and maintenance of our cutting-edge R&D site, managing site utilities, supply systems, and facility maintenance, and leading a team of technical operations professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Technical Operations Management: Oversee technical operations, including management of building services and electrical systems
  2. Facility Maintenance: Perform planned and emergency maintenance of buildings and infrastructure
  3. Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of technical operations professionals
  4. Vendor Management: Manage third-party vendors for site services
  5. Crisis Management: Participate in crisis management programs and act as Incident Commander during crises
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent, with 15+ years of experience in a similar leadership role. They should have comprehensive knowledge of building services, electrical engineering, and process engineering systems within life sciences or scientific research. Proven skills in leading and developing technical teams are essential, as well as strong vendor management skills and expertise in contract negotiation.

A proven track record in managing technical projects in time, in budget, and in quality is required. Additionally, proficiency in managing and planning maintenance tasks for buildings and infrastructure, as well as knowledge of regulations, industry standards, and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) requirements within R&D settings, are necessary.
