At Infineon Technologies AG, we are pioneering trapped-ion quantum processors that excel in qubit fidelity and quantum volume. As a Trapped-Ion Development Engineer, you will be part of an international team dedicated to making quantum computing a reality. Your responsibilities will include:

* Driving technology development for trapped-ion quantum processors with a focus on photonic interfaces
* Co-developing next-generation QPUs with commercial partners
* Enabling research through projects with academic partners
* Supervising master and PhD students

You are a proactive individual with a passion for new technologies, eager to join our mission to create a more sustainable future for everyone. To thrive in this role, you should possess:

* A highly motivated attitude towards quantum computing
* A PhD in physics, quantum engineering, photonics, computational physics, or similar
* 3+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, quantum optics, and/or (trapped-ion) quantum computing
* Fluency in English, German skills or willingness to learn
