Leading Sustainability Engineer for Energy Transition Projects

We are seeking a skilled engineer to drive Vienna's green energy transition through integrated, sustainable solutions at Venergi GmbH. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will lead dynamic teams to execute projects crucial to decarbonization of Vienna by 2040, such as modernizing energy generation facilities, constructing alternative energy generation plants, and implementing hydrogen production or application.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and Adaptation: Design new buildings and infrastructures to accommodate energy plants and facilities contributing to the energy transition and the circular economy. Adapt existing buildings and infrastructures for energy plants and facilities contributing to the energy transition and the circular economy.
- Compliance and Coordination: Ensure compliance with local building codes (Bauordnung für Wien), regulations, and environmental standards. Coordinate with regulatory authorities to secure necessary approvals and permits.
- Project Deliverables: Elaborate project deliverables (site layouts, constructive engineering, preliminary structural calculations, cost estimates, technical specifications).
- Collaboration and Quality Control: Coordinate with other trades (mainly process, mechanical, and electrical engineering) to guarantee best project quality. Implement quality control measures for structural integrity, safety, and adherence to timelines.
- Leadership and Mentorship: Lead sub-projects and work packages. Mentor junior civil engineers.
To succeed in this role, you should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering (civil or building engineering), extensive experience as a civil or building engineer, knowledge of constructive engineering with steel and concrete structures, and experience in assessing existing building structures. A deep passion for driving positive environmental impact through innovative and sustainable energy solutions is essential. Effective teamwork ability, excellent English and German language skills, and proficiency in AutoCAD with expertise in similar software within a BIM environment are also required.
